Teaching assistants/paraprofessionals help students who struggle with academic, behavioral, adaptive, and/or social skills.
The teaching assistant/paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher by implementing instruction and interventions to increase student achievement and/or improve student performance.
You will be supported by the teacher and a team of other staff members and provided professional development based on your classroom assignment.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma.
Meets all mandated health requirements.
Documentation of a clear criminal record.
Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
Valid Ohio Department of Education Permit appropriate for the assignment.
Self-directed and able to learn required skills for the position.
Ability to physically manage students with disabilities.
Congenial disposition and strong diplomacy skills.
Training and/or experience in behavioral management techniques is preferred Salary:
Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule Reports To:
