You will perform pre-analytical specimen processing on surgical tissue. Responsibilities include maintenance of equipment, embeds tissue in proper size base mold, appropriately levels tissue in blocks, prepares tissue slides of uniform thickness without compressions, folds, or chatter marks, and cover slips slides without air bubbles.
Monday - Friday; day shift with varied start times (5a, 6a, 7a, etc.)
No weekends; no on-call
Will join a team of 4 other HTs and 4 Pathologists
Must be proficient with Tissue Processors, Micrometers, Immunohistochemical and Special Staining Instrumentation
Brand new Lab (2015) with all state of the art equipment
High volume lab (400-600 blocks/day)
Requirements for consideration:
HT-ASCP required
Prefer experienced HT with solid work history in histology
Will consider new graduates with clinicals in a high-volume lab
Preference will be given to candidates close to Ohio
Salary, sign on bonus and relocation available
